PROFILE
Scriptwriter and author. After working at a publishing company and as a programmer, she enrolled herself in the Scriptwriters Association's scriptwriting course in 1984. In 1985, she made her debut with the anime “Miimu Iro Iro Yume no Tabi.” (Mimi, the Traveler of Many Dreams).
She has written numerous single-episode and serial TV dramas, as well as films, stage plays, rakugo (comic storytelling), kyogen (classical comedy), musicals, and operas. As a novelist, her works “GOU,” “One,” and “Hearn and Setsu” which was used as the inspiration for the NHK morning drama "Bakebake." Her latest work is “Nene and Hideyoshi.” She has also published essays such as “A Woman's Path is a Straight Road” and “Life is an Epic Drama”(Life full of Ups and Downs). She is the representative of the planning company,”Tokyo Kurage Creations Co., Ltd”.
