Born in Ehime Prefecture (Ehime/Iyo Tourism Ambassador, Otsu Kirakira Ambassador"（Otsu Sparkling Ambassador）

Former NHK TV announcer. Retired in 2023 and became freelance announcer and presenter.

After joining NHK in 1991, she hosted numerous programs including “Good Morning Japan” and “Hello from Studio Park.” 

In 2003, she served as the main host of the 54th Kohaku Uta Gassen (Red and White Song Battle). 

Since 2019, she has expanded her horizons by hosting radio programs like “Takeuchi Toko's Gogo Cafe” (Takeuchi Toko’s Afternoon Cafe) for five years.

Currently she is active in a wide range of fields. She is also the mother of three daughters: a 21 years old and 15 years old twins.
