Chairman of the Korea Drama Production  Association

I extend my heartfelt congratulations on the holding of the “17th Asian TV Drama Conference” in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture, a cultural city representing Japan.

Throughout our journey, we have once again come to realize the importance of solidarity across borders. Immediately following the 16th conference in Nanao City, Ishikawa Prefecture, the city and its people experienced hardships. As drama professionals, we shared in their deep pain. We were deeply moved to learn that the donations we delivered, contributed to the recovery and reconstruction of the Noto region, serving as a small yet heartfelt encouragement for the local community. We feel that it is even more meaningful that this event has been held again after two years, based on the bonds we have built through overcoming hardships together.

This conference poses a crucial question under the theme “From Asia to the World: The Possibilities Opened by Collaboration and Co-Production.” In the rapidly changing global content market, cross-border partnerships and creative collaborations are essential for Asian stories to take center stage worldwide. I am confident that this gathering of Asia's leading creators will serve not merely as an exchange, but will also be an important turning point in exploring the concrete realization and possibilities of collaborative production.

Our commitment to deliver valuable content to the world remains unchanged. I sincerely hope that the insights and dialogues exchanged amidst Matsuyama's rich history and beautiful scenery will lay the foundation for opening new horizons for Asian drama.

Finally, I extend my deepest gratitude to the officials of Ehime Prefecture, Matsuyama City, and the ATDC Association for co-hosting this event, and to all distinguished guests who have gathered here for the advancement of Asian drama.
